Active PoE switch (Standard PoE switch) can be connected to non-POE switch.

Can PoE switch be used as normal switch?

Yes, active PoE switch (Standard PoE switch) can be used as normal switch.

The 802.3af/at standard will not apply power to a non-PoE device.

What is PoE auto check function(AI PoE)?

PoE auto check function (PoE dog): When camera or PoE device is not respond to ping, the PoE switch will reboot this device. It is a very useful function.

Usually, the managed PoE switch support this function. Most unmanaged POE switches do not support this feature.

How to connect a device which needed more then 30W power?

A: use our PT102A injector to double the power into one device from 30 watts to 60 watts- combines two 802.3at ports into one uPOE port.

B: Chinasky PoE switch--- For the first port there will be a function for option when production. We can set it to support Max 65W output to high power device.
